The concept of the video "Tha Chillski" is about the inner mind of an individual and his struggle between two vivid worlds. One appears dark (ghetto tribal) the other light (posh decadence); but neither of them is the core truth. The fact lies between these two echoes of a distorted reality within the self. There is a sense of struggle between where one "comes" from or the history of where one's "people" originated and where it has gone. How fake many of these misconstrues have become and how they have manifested in a particular way that people intentionally play up to them. In actuality there is no need to fall into this sort of role, which the media hypes up. The sense of "self as an individual" and a people is in need of being checked and sorted out.
Dem City
The city is a parallel dimension to Los Angeles present day. It is a future primitive chemical Egypt. The LA landscape merged with Babylonian themes and Orwellian surveillance. Jua's music and sound shakes the city apart in his battle of forces. The city is a machine that watches and controls the inhabitants. Through Word Sound Power you see Jua's music and voice shake the world around him. The central force of the city is the multieye cameras in the capstone of the pyramids. They watch and send transmissions through the Obelisk's to control the populace and the flow of the city. Jua leaves his performance and goes off on a mission. He weaves through the city and is followed by small hovering capstone cameras. As Jua's energy increases and weakens the grid of the city he is able to bend time / space and floats through the city. Jua begins to transform into a Lion. The pace and movements are glitchy and driven by the music. As Jua gets closer to the end of the track he enters the main central pyramid and becomes complete in his transformation into the Conquering Lion. He travels through the hallways of the pyramid until he reaches the apex where his energy shuts down the grid and we see the machine breaking and crumbling.
